Newcity Brazil is an English-language platform committed to in-depth coverage of contemporary and modern Brazilian art, with a special emphasis on interviews with artists, curators and other leaders of the visual art culture. Collectors, curators and art aficionados are the core audience of the publication, with concentrations of readership in Brazil, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union.
We’ve published more than 300 stories since our launch in 2015, but Brazil’s economic and political challenges over that time, combined more recently with the effects of the global pandemic, have meant that advertising is not a viable support system for our coverage, and our ambitions to expand and do so much more. So we’re introducing a membership plan to allow our audiences to support us directly.
If you value what we do, please join us with one of the membership plans below. While we might have to institute a paywall for our content at some point, we’d prefer not to, since our mission is to inform the world about Brazilian art, and reaching the widest audience possible is part of that.
Thank you,
Brian Hieggelke
Editor and Publisher
