New Democracy Museum Devoted to the Insurrection
In the United States, many of us are watching in fear and disgust as the leader of our insurrection on the U.S. Capitol, Donald Trump, is running for president again, with a strong possibility of winning. Brazil, on the other hand, is turning its own insurrection on its capital in Brasilia, on January 8, 2023, into a Museum of Democracy. Seems like a much more civil solution. Details are here.
Arrest Made in Brent Sikkema Murder in Rio
As quickly as the news of the tragic death of a leading New York gallerist spread around the world, Brazilian police had arrested a suspect in his killing. The fact that the suspect, like Sikkema’s estranged husband, is Cuban, has fueled rumor mills, like this story in the New York Post.
